Hey folks! It’s reveal day over at Paper Camellia!
Be sure to stop by and check out all of the inspiration from the design team!
Here’s my layout using the new kit!
The paper, the paper airplane tag, the gold, the wood, squee! I love it all! So much fun!
Hi! Thank you for stopping by! I’m sharing one of the layouts I have created with the April main kit. I love when faux wood paper shows up at my doorstep in one of Ria’s kits. I had this super sweet photo of my 2 boys with their 3 little cousins taken at my parents’ farm and thought I’d work with it.
Everything featured here comes in the main kit! Those letters and numbers are part of a Thicker’s chipboard pack! I know, right! I LOVE Thickers and these especially because they coordinated so well with everything else. I layered paper strips and trim strips from the sheets that come in the kit and added embellishments. I finished it off with gold paint and black mist.
As you can see in the first photo of the full layout, I am a huge fan of layering. All those strips are just pieces that are cut of the bottom of patterned paper! A lot of my scrappy friends don’t save scraps if they are less than a half of a sheet of paper. I save anything I can fit in my little Kaiser Craft pouches because you never know when you might need to tuck a little color in here or there! Resourceful I say!
Thank you for stopping by!
Sharing my layout today over at the Paper Camellia blog using the February kit! March will be here shortly! Be ready to get yours as soon as they are available because they go fast!
I pulled out my watercolors and did a little work on the background and layered the paper in the form of dovetail tags. There are so many beautiful papers in this kit and they look beautiful along side this black and white photo of my boys. The photo is a 5×7 and I thought it would be fun to show that you don’t have to be restricted to small format photos, that large photos can work well on your layouts, too.
Hey, Friends! Welcome to the Paper Camellia & The Cut Shoppe Blog Hop! So much fun and inspiration in store for you!
Designers from both teams worked with the December Kit from Paper Camellia as well as the cut files Ashley made specially to coordinate with this kit.
If you are here as your first stop, please head over to the Paper Camellia blog to start from the beginning! We would hate for you to miss a single thing! You should have arrived here from Laurie Danielle’s blog.
Be sure and read through this post to find information on Paper Camellia’s giveaway and how to win from The Cut Shoppe.
The first layout I designed was super fun using the Bitty Borders and Happy Clouds cut files! These are two of my favorites!
I loved the outline cuts of the clouds and used them on both of my layouts. I had fun with the rub-ons and the veneer in this Paper Camellia kit, too!
My second layout uses more of both of those files as well as the Sew Loved file. It’s kind of difficult to see in the photo, but I set my Cameo to just score the vellum vs cutting the stitched X’s out. It actually looks super cute in person!
Here is full list of hop participants:
