Woah! I hope you are having fun checking out all the fun on The Cut Shoppe Blog today! We are partnering up with Neat & Tangled and using our cut files and their lovely stamps! I have such a fun set to use!
Again, I am addicted to white space and I LOVE this kraft paper I used for the B E. The little arrow and the words are from the stamp set provided to me by Neat & Tangled. It has so many little bitty words that I think I’ll be using it quite often!
Hey there! I’m on the Cut Shoppe Blog today with my US layout using what is likely my favorite cut file to date, the All Heart Cut File.
I don’t know any better way to honor my best friend than to surround her with fluffy, pink hearts!
Thanks for stopping by!
Hi! Thank you for stopping by! I’m sharing one of the layouts I have created with the April main kit. I love when faux wood paper shows up at my doorstep in one of Ria’s kits. I had this super sweet photo of my 2 boys with their 3 little cousins taken at my parents’ farm and thought I’d work with it.
Everything featured here comes in the main kit! Those letters and numbers are part of a Thicker’s chipboard pack! I know, right! I LOVE Thickers and these especially because they coordinated so well with everything else. I layered paper strips and trim strips from the sheets that come in the kit and added embellishments. I finished it off with gold paint and black mist.
As you can see in the first photo of the full layout, I am a huge fan of layering. All those strips are just pieces that are cut of the bottom of patterned paper! A lot of my scrappy friends don’t save scraps if they are less than a half of a sheet of paper. I save anything I can fit in my little Kaiser Craft pouches because you never know when you might need to tuck a little color in here or there! Resourceful I say!
Thank you for stopping by!
I hope it’s warming up where you are! We are slowly getting short streaks of beautiful days and I’m loving the sunshine!
It’s REVEAL DAY at Paper Camellia! I can’t believe I’ve been on Ria’s team for 4 months now! I love when her kits show up on my doorstep every month.
My layout today includes lots of layering, chipboard and gold elements. I’m currently back scrapping some of my older photos in with the new in an attempt to at least get to 2014! Better late than never, right?
Make sure you stop by the blog and check out the April kits and get yourself one!
As always, thank you so much for visiting my little blog! I hope you walk away with some inspiration!
Today I’m sharing with you the layout I made using the heart burst cut file from The Cut Shoppe. This was a really fun layout to make and not as complicated as it might look.
I’ve been pushing this photo around on my work desk for awhile now because I knew I wanted to do something really great with it. I took the background paper and the a few of the patterned papers from the American Crafts Studio Calico paper pack. One of the sheets is a piece of 12×12 white cardstock that I played with gelatos on and put in my stash for a rainy day. I ran the cut file through my cameo on plain white card stock, traced, and fussy cut each of the different patterned rays of the paper shown. I ran the edge of each of those patterned rays through a black ink pad and let dry. After gluing it down I added a few little PinkFresh embellishments, a little cork, and gold tape from my stash. The gold letters are Thickers, obviously 🙂 I’m addicted to those silly letters.
I’m really pleased with how it came out! You can find me over at the Cut Shoppe blog, too!
I finished the whole thing off with Heidi Swapp gold mist dropped with a paintbrush.
Have you had enough of the I Am line from Simple Scrapbooks? Good, me neither!!
Check this layout I did on black cardstock using that very line! I can’t get enough of it!!
The gold works beautifully on the black background, if you haven’t paired with a dark cardstock you should give it a try!
I love ephemera, bits, and baubles and I will always try to find a place for them on my layouts. I think they add so much dimension! This month’s Paper Camellia kits gave us plenty to work with!
Thanks for checking it out!
April is just around the corner! I cannot wait to see what you create with next month’s kit!
In an effort to fight off the winter blah’s I decided to brighten things up a little! I used the I Heart String Art cut file from The Cut Shoppe on this layout. I cut the star out to fill most of the page and then traced the outside of the star onto another piece of white card stock. I watercolor painted within the parameters of the star and once it was dry attached the star to the layout.
I added a few digital printable elements to the page, Thicker letters and heart, colored thread, and a veneer ‘family’ to finish it off. I added a little watercolor paint spatter after everything was dry.
My family ran a 5K on the 4th of July a few years ago (I’m slowly catching up!) and I really wanted to a family photo in our album to commemorate the event!
Thanks for looking!
